Joondalup Festival

Starting at 5:30pm on Friday at the Joondalup Centre, this year’s Joondalup Festival brings together several exciting creations, activities and entertainment to celebrate 50 years of human activity in space. In addition to live music, street performances and children’s activities, the festival will feature the larger-than-life art installation, the Museum of the Moon and Gaia, a Twilight Lantern Parade and a puppetry performance from the String Symphony. The festival concludes on Sunday at 8pm.

Subiaco Street Party

Subiaco’s biggest community event, the Subiaco Street Party, is happening on Saturday from 2pm to 9pm with an ‘Across the Globe’ theme. Starting on Rokeby Road, event-goers will be able to collect a passport to explore the four distinctly themed zones and experience a variety of roving performances, live music as well as food and drinks inspired by Asia, the Mediterranean, The Americas and Down Under. Plus, this is a pet-friendly event - you can even get a snap of your pet at the pop-up pet photo booth!

Cockburn Cultural Fair

Bring the whole family along for the Cockburn Cultural Fair this Saturday. Starting at 1pm at Harmony Oval, the event includes a wide variety of activities including carting, henna, basket weaving, mould painting and a cooking demonstration from 2018 Masterchef’s Brendan Pang. The fair will also feature live performances from the Taiko Japanese Drums, Chinese Folk Dancers and the Alpen Duo.

The Progress Street Party

Hosted by The Morley Momentum, the Progress Street Party will hit Morley with a sea of culture and community from 1pm this Sunday. Taking inspiration from China, England, Vietnam, India, Italy, the Philippines and Poland, festival-goers will visit a vast range of stalls showcasing crafts, activities and culinary delights. Also, be sure to check out the Galleria Main Stage for vibrant performances from the West Coast Bhangra, the Junkadelic Brass Band and many more.

Alkimos Vista Colour Party

Join award-winning development partners Lendlease and LandCorp on Saturday from 1pm as they celebrate the grand opening of the Alkimos Vista Display Village. Get crafty with wind-chime making, kite displays and a mini-art canvas workshop. For the kids, there will also be a giant maze and face painting. Choose from plenty of great food and drink trucks whilst you visit Alkimos’s newest displays.
