The 2024 Scribblers Family Festival is happening in Perth on October 26 and 27. Get ready for two full days of free activities and creative workshops designed to engage and inspire kids of all ages with an interest in story telling – so basically all kids!
This year the focus is on Rebels and Dreamers; those who dare to be bold, think differently and imagine new and infinite possibilities. Activities include book signings and sessions with renowned authors and illustrators, including the first Australian to write Batman comics for DC, live music, roving performers and podcasters and a chance to buy some cool gifts at the Scribblers Youth Makers Market.
Workshops (need to be booked in advance) give kids the chance to work with talented local artists and authors to create their own comics, puppets, poems and stories.
It’s a great day out for kids and families. The festival is based in ‘Scribblers Central’ at Cathedral Square, just near the Perth library (not the WA library) and other venues in the city including Perth Library, Perth Town Hall, The Sound Garden at Stirling Gardens and London Court.
