Ace your WACE music exams with free performance feedback from WAAPA lecturers

WAAPA is offering an extraordinary opportunity for students preparing for their looming WACE music exams.
In a series of free Ace your WACE workshops, students studying music will perform in front of WAAPA’s classical lecturers who will help prepare them for their performance exams.
Each student will be advised on how to bring their music to life to ensure that they perform at their best when being examined. The workshop will cover how to tame one’s nerves, polish a performance and dazzle any audience to ensure maximum results.

1.00pm - 3.30pm: Piano with Anna Sleptsova
3.30pm - 6.00pm: Woodwind and Saxophone with Dr Philip Everall and Dr Matt Styles
Sunday, 29 August 2021
9.00am - 12.00pm: Classical Voice with Emma Matthews
12.00pm - 3.00pm: Strings with Paul Wright
3.00pm - 4.30pm: Brass with Brent Grapes
2.00pm - 4.00pm: Classical Guitar with Dr Jonathan Paget
2.00pm - 4.00pm: Classical Percussion with Tim White and Genevieve Wilkins
Any student currently enrolled in Year 11 or 12 is welcome to register for the program. Registration is free and can be accessed here.
For those interested in learning more about WAAPA's new Bachelor of Music, Associate Dean of Music, Dr Jamie Oehlers, is hosting an information session via Zoom on August 18. Conversation will cover course material, how to audition if you are an out-of-state or international student and the creative life of a WAAPA student in the new state-of-the-art CBD campus. The information session is being hosted on Wednesday, August 18 from 5:00 – 6:00pm AWST. Register here.
