Embrace the cold this winter with a variety of events worth leaving the house for. Expect to see some of the most renowned visual art, music, food, wine and sports as well as a range of winter celebrations

SkatingAt Festival - Jun 22 - Jul 15, Elizabeth Quay
From June 22 the SkatingAt Festival is taking over Elizabeth Quay with their iconic open-air ice rink and winter activities such as,music, ice slides, jumping castles and Kanga skating aids. It is the ultimate winter experience that can be enjoyed by the whole family. Open daily from 9am to 9pm weekdays and 11pm weekends.
Antartica: Night at the Museum - Jun 22, WA Maritime Museum
A night not to be missed this winter! The Foundation for the WA Museum and Artefact Circle will be providing a night of Antarctic themed entertainment accompanied by canapés, home brewed beverages, luxurious prizes and a high-end live auction with the opportunity to name a newly identified species!
Winter Arts Exhibitions - Now - Jul 15, Fremantle Arts Centre
Consider taking cover in the warmth of the Fremantle Art Centre as they have just launched four new exhibitions that will be running until July 15. Titles include 'Gifted', 'Nine Times The Space That Measures Day And Night', 'Semiconductor; and 'Like Embracing Ice'.

Western Australian Football League NAIDOC Round - Jul 7, Fremantle Community Bank Oval
For the sports lovers, the WAFL will be powering through the weather with their remaining fixtures for both men’s and women’s leagues. The WAFL NAIDOC Round was instigated by South Fremantle and Claremont back in 2007. This year, once again we will have the South Fremantle bulldogs taking on the mighty Claremont tigers in what is set to be a highlight clash of the season you wont want to miss. This is the perfect event to come along with the whole family, with kids 15 and under free. Watch the game from the beautiful old stands or share a beer with your mates and watch from the glass windowed bar area.
