There's excellent news for lovers of tequila! Perth's specialty tequila bar Caballitos have announced their Nacho Typical Thursdays, a series of themed event nights all centred around everyone's favourite poison, tequila.
Starting Thursday August 13, the popular Queen Street bar from Andy Freeman's Sneakers & Jeans hospitality group will feature a different activation every month, from Piñata parties to face painting to Unicorn Margaritas. Each monthly theme will be announced on Caballitos’ social media, with events to run on the first Thursday of every month.
Whether you're twirling round the pole in the Chapel of Sin, getting selfies with the skulls in the basement, or catching up with the crew for some signature tequila concoctions, Caballitos oozes fun.
"No two nights are ever the same at Caballitos," says Venue Manager, Jason Mooney. "Nacho Typical Thursdays will take this up a notch... or three!"
For the particularly daring, every second Thursday will feature a live tattoo artist, Sheridin Byfield from The Tatt Shop, Northbridge, who has designed an exclusive range of five signature Caballitos flash tattoos. Tattoos come free with every $50 spent on the night.
Entry is free and the bar will feature rotating specials such as $15 Frozen Margaritas and endless $5 Tacos available the whole night.
Perth’s first Tequila and Mexican cantina opened in 2017, and now showcases over 200 Tequilas and Mezcals. Caballitos remains a firm favourite for revellers: the basement venue includes an 8-metre-long mural installed by Perth Interior Stylist, Featherhorse, over 1,000 skulls and colourful ornate shutters sourced and imported directly from Bali.
Caballitos is regularly open Thursday – Saturday, 5pm ‘til late.
