Perth-raised musical star Tim Minchin returns to his hometown next March as part of an Australia-wide tour. Performing at Crown Theatre on Friday 6 March 2020, the billed BACK tour promises to deliver hits from the showman's illustrious repertoire, and some flashy new tracks. A comedian, actor, writer, musician, and composer, Minchin is best known for his musical contributions to the Royal Shakespeare Company’s hit production “Matilda the Musical”, which took out a record 7 Olivier Awards and 5 Tony Awards. BACK is the performer’s second national tour after a sold-out run in March and April this year, followed by a tour of the UK in October and November. Born in England in 1975 to Australian parents, Minchin’s family returned to Australia where Minchin studied English and Theatre at the University of Western Australia (UWA), and went on to complete his diploma in music at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA). We welcome him back with open arms! Tickets go on sale 12pm Wednesday August 28Perth's musical star Tim Minchin is BACK in 2020
