Calling all Perth filmmakers! The Revelation Film Festival and the City of Vincent have once again joined forces to offer three lucky filmmakers $5,000 in production funding for non-fiction films. Specifically, the films must orbit or intersect the City of Vincent. With a total of $15,000 being given away, successful applicants will have the opportunity to receive guidance and mentoring throughout the entire film production process, from Revelation's very own Ashleigh Nicolau. Previous winners of the grand received massive praise for their works, including The Throwback, One Girl's Fire, and Persia's Pantry, which screened to full-houses at Luna Palace in Leederville, along with significant local media coverage. "Revelation is one of the few international film festivals in Australia, and certainly in WA, that support film production in such a direct and positive way through actually commissioning work", says Festival Director Richard Sowada. "These films are the real thing and their ability to circulate the international film festival scene in their own right is a testament to the talent and strength of the initiative." Entries for the Revelation Film Festival are open until November 1 2019. For more information visit Revelation's Website.
