The Access All Areas initiative is here, just in time for Christmas.
The program provides up to 50,000 vouchers for children ages 5 to 15 to access live performances, exhibitions and cultural events across WA, as part of the Cook Labor Government’s cost of living relief measures.
Parents can reserve a $50 voucher per child and claim rebates for ticket purchases at over 100 venues and service providers across the state, including 40% of venues being found in regional WA, perfect for summer holiday trips.
If you were one of the lucky ones that got onto it quickly a reserved a voucher for the first round, check out these participating venues that you can visit with your Access All Areas vouchers. Otherwise, head online to learn more about the next round of vouchers set for August 2026.

WA Museum Boola Bardip
Explore the scientific and cultural collections of WA throughout the Museum’s seven locations, including the WA Maritime Museum, WA Shipwrecks Museum, and the main site in Perth Cultural Centre. All seven locations are included in the Access All Areas scheme, meaning the kids can have a free day at the museum from Perth to Geraldton and the Goldfields.
Why not explore the current special exhibition, the Terracotta Warriors. Ending February 22, the exhibition is a world-first in the amount of warriors on display – in fact, 50% of the objects in general have never been displayed before.
Explore cultural treasures through interactive displays, and give the kids the best excuse to get off the screens.

Fringe Festival
Expected to attract more than half a million people from January 21 – February 15, Fringe is back and on the Access All Areas list. That includes Bunbury Fringe, too.
With 40+ shows just for the kids, you won’t be short on options – think real-life mermaids, a rickshaw scavenger hunt, plus all the Fringe favourites like comedy, magic, circus and more, all crafted specifically with little ones in mind.

State Theatre Centre of WA
This iconic institution in Perth Cultural Centre is opening its doors to Access All Areas vouchers, ranging across shows from their resident companies, Black Swan State Theatre Company and Co3 Contemporary Dance Australia, to shows being performed as part of Fringe Festival and Perth Festival.
The State Theatre Centre isn’t the only theatre venue participating – The Blue Room Theatre, Crown Theatre, His Majesty’s Theatre, The Regal Theatre and more will offer their shows for use in the initiative.
Bluey’s Big Play travels through WA in Feburary and March, with shows in Albany, Perth, Mandurah, Bunbury and Geraldton. All the venues are covered by the Access All Areas scheme, so it’s the perfect opportunity to take the kids and catch their favourite characters on a discount!

Gravity Discovery Centre & Observatory
Only an hours drive from the city, the Gravity Discovery Centre & Observatory makes for the perfect day trip or staycation, now discounted with an Access All Areas voucher.
Catch an evening observation tour, with lasers guiding you through constellations and stargazing through specialised scopes, or take a day visit to the Gravity Discovery Centre, where you’ll climb the infamous 45-metre-tall Leaning Tower of Gingin. The school holiday sessions include rocket making and solar viewing in the Observatory, completely covered by the voucher scheme.

Optus Stadium
This one’s for the sports fans. Optus makes the list of approved venues for Access All Areas vouchers, making all your summer sports outings that little bit cheaper.
Catch a Scorchers match at ‘The Furnace,’ or perhaps one of the matches from the upcoming AFC Women’s Asian Cup, including the opener in which the Matildas face off against the Philippines. Don’t forget about footy season, either.
Sports isn’t limited to Optus, with Perth HPC, RAC Arena and HBF Park all participating – that means Perth Lynx & Perth Wildcats, plus the Perth Glory men’s team are all on the menu to catch at a discounted (or even free) rate over the summer holidays.
