Over the next three months, Musica Viva Australia is bringing three amazing classical music performances from as far as London, to the Perth Concert Hall.
Starting on Monday next week, London’s renowned Choir of King’s College performs one show only at the PCH. In September, maestro William Barton teams up with Ensemble Q for a concert of classical music fused with new sounds, and in November, one of the world’s finest violinists, Lina Tur Bonet, takes time from Europe to graces the PCH for the very first time.

The Choir of King’s College, Cambridge

The Choir of King’s College from Cambridge is one of the world’s most famous choirs, every year at Christmas time performing the Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols for millions of listeners.
On Monday, August 5, this unique and precious sound returns to Australia, providing Perth lovers of voice to see them at just one show at the Perth Concert Hall. The performance includes beloved anthems and sacred works alongside two choral mainstays: Stravinsky’s Mass alongside a double wind quintet comprised of ten of Australia’s best instrumentalists; and Maurice Duruflé’s magnificent Requiem, a meditation on life and death for choir and organ. Regarded as one of the most exciting violinists of her generation, Lina Tur Bonet has delighted and fascinated fans across Europe with performances ranging from Bach to Messiaen.
To the delight of all lovers of classical music, Musica Viva has organised for Tur Bonet to make her Australian debut with Musica Alchemica, her hand-picked ensemble, and perform works by Corelli, Telemann, Biber and other Baroque classics.
