Make a splash at Perth's top four theme parks
THEME PARKS
1. Great Escape
Get in quick before the waterslides close for winter at the end of April. But if that's not your thing, this old favourite has plenty of choice. Try the trampolines and mini golf, or – if you're feeling more daring – have a go at the high ropes course! Hillarys Boat Harbour, 9448 0800.
2. Adventure World
This Perth icon is a longstanding summer destination for locals and tourists alike. It's well worth a visit, even if you've been before – new rides like Abyss and the Black Widow are gaining recognition Australia-wide, and there are plans for brand-new water attractions over the next five years. Progress Drive, Bibra Lake, 9417 9666.
3. Just 4 Fun Aqua Park
This new park has three locations to choose from, making it easily accessible. There are special inflatable activities and knee-deep pools for more timid swimmers. Mandurah, Bunbury and Rottnest Island, 0422 439 008.
4. Outback Splash
This monolithic water park bills itself as Australia's biggest, and it's set to expand, with two new slides in the pipeline. If you prefer to stay dry, there are plenty of splash-free activities – try getting lost in one of the mazes, or play a round of giant chess. Neaves Road, Bullsbrook, 9571 1375.
