The story of Scoop Publishing…

As many probably know, on April 22, Scoop Publishing Pty Ltd ceased trading.

There were many factors involved and no one to blame. We did all we could but despite best efforts from an extraordinary team (cut back from 36 to 19 full timers) we could not cut costs fast enough to stay ahead of a rapid decline in revenue.

Sadly, this marks the end of nine magazine titles and 19 years producing the leading state-based magazines in Australia. We were proud to showcase the very best of arts and events, travel, lifestyle, homes and design in WA. We didn't always get it right, but we tried our hardest to promote the community, the individuals and values that make WA such a great place to live.

For the foreseeable future, I will help manage independently-owned Scoop Digital Pty Ltd, delivering innovative digital marketing solutions, web development, social media updates and free online guides for arts & events, tourism, small business and not-for-profit community sectors in WA. You can find out more at www.scoopdigital.com.au or by emailing scoop@scoopdigital.com.au.

Scoop's online guides and magazines can still all be read free online at scoop.com.au.

The Scoop Weekly newsletter will continue to be sent to our 40,000+ subscribers, as a free promotion for arts and events sector in WA.

Finally, I would like to again thank the clients, suppliers, readers and subscribers who supported us for so long. We regret any negative impact our closing may have had upon our many stakeholders and wish you all the very best with your future endeavours.
