Situated right on Trigg Beach is Canteen, a largely outdoor cafe perfect for brunch in the sun. Specialising in classics like the smashed avo on toast and smoothie bowls, breakfast at Canteen Trigg is guaranteed to be highly Instagrammable. As they are walk-in only, it’s best to get there early to secure your spot, particularly on a weekend. Or, pop your name down when you get there and take your dog for a beach walk while you wait.

Pixel Coffee Brewers
If you’re after an all-day healthy brunch spot, Pixel are your people. They did Perth’s first pumpkin smash (sister of the avo smash) a few years back and although much of the menu will be brand new, they’ve kept the old favourite for our post-isolation needs. Both their Leederville and Claremont stores are open for both people and pooches – you can either call to book or try your luck with a walk-in.

Duck Duck Bruce
Duck Duck Bruce’s dog-friendly garden will be sure to get your dog’s tail wagging, with plenty of dog bowls, treats and blankets to keep you and your best mate toasty. Best of all, proceeds from babycino and sparkling water purchases go straight to the kennel they sponsor at Shenton Park Dog Refuge. Moore & Moore Cafe
An icon of Fremantle, Moore & Moore Cafe is where coffee meets art, with a contemporary art gallery housed in the same building. Open Thursday through to Monday, you can book a table for a delicious brunch or morning coffee in the charming West End of Fremantle here. Otherwise, just stroll in and they will do their best to seat you if they aren’t at full capacity. As always, your dog is welcome in both their courtyard and front deck area, with water bowls provided.
