New Irish pub Johnny Fox's opens in Northbridge

There's a new kid on the block in Northbridge. Taking over from the iconic Rosie O'Grady's, Johnny Fox's doors have flown open to the public in record time and are greeting patrons with great craic and even better brews.

Brought about by the Lavish Habits Group that brought Perth treasures like Henry Summer and Alabama Song, Johnny Fox's pays homage to the traditional Irish pub with cozy timber interiors and a menu brimming with crowd favourites - including a Sunday roast! With the Rosie O'Grady's moving into retirement, Johnny Fox's will brings a fresh, modern take to her legacy, with the venue undergoing a soft renovation to launch just in time for Fringe World 2021. The new venue is decked out with beautifully hand-crafted wooden bars, chairs, tables, and features exposed brick walls and the occasional splash of green, with tons of natural light flooding in from the windows. The old Boston band room, once again to host live music sessions, is still to undergo further refurbishments and will soon re-open with a new name. In terms of the food, it's everything you'd expect from your trusty local, with Guinness and Kilkenny ready on tap for your enjoyment as you tuck into some roast beef, chicken parmigiana, or sausage roll wrapped in buttery, home-made pastry. If you're not a dark beer drinker, then there is plenty of other beer, wine or spirits to choose from, and a cocktail list of delicious concoctions with surprising Irish twists. You can find Jonny Fox's at 205 James St, directly across from the Pleasure Garden, so you can grab a quick bevvie on your way through or stay for a live act and a night on the town.
