The most wonderful time of the year is upon us and to help us get into the festive spirit, Perth’s top bars have been mixing up some special Christmassy cocktails. With flavours ranging from Christmas pudding to cherry candy canes, these cocktails are sure to spread the Christmas cheer.
The Babbo Natale at Garum
To celebrate Babbo Natale (A.K.A. the Italian version of Santa Claus), Garum have named their limited-edition cocktail after him. Babbo Natale is a fruity mix with a distinctly Italian flavour comprising Amaro Montenegro, Vodka, Pedro Ximinez, egg white, orange and sugar syrup. Complement your delicious Italian feast with a Babbo Natale, available until December 27.
Caballitos’ Festive Margarita Trees
Hosting Christmas fiestas all month as per Mexican tradition, Perth’s resident underground tequila bar are offering a colourful margarita tree featuring a combination of classic and frozen watermelon margaritas. Round up at least four drinking buddies to share this one with and email the amigos at Caballitos to pre-book your end of year catch-up.
Goody Two’s Boozy Baubles
Japanese-inspired late night bar Goody Two’s is serving up boozy baubles to get you in the merry mood. Take your pick from three festive flavours – Santa’s Slice, Merry Meringue or Candy Cane – all topped with fresh garnishes and bubbly prosecco.
25 Days of Cocktails at Hearth Restaurant & Lounge
Hearth is located on the ground floor of The Ritz-Carlton, and features stunning views of Elizabeth Quay. Offering their own boozy version of the advent calendar, they have been running ‘25 Days of Cocktails’. Switching up the potion each day, expect classic cocktails with a Christmas spin including winter fizz and white Christmas dream.
The Flour Factory’s Gingle Bell Trees
If gin is more your thing, head to The Flour Factory to visit Buddy the Christmas Elf for premium gin specials. To keep the crowds happy, this gin bar is offering GINgle Bell Trees with nine house-made Christmas gin cocktails – think cherry, cinnamon and Christmas pudding notes, yum! Plus, you can have a go at mixing your own festive gin cocktails with their special Christmas masterclasses, on Wednesdays up until Christmas between 6 – 7pm. Reserve a place here.
The Reveley's Giant Christmas Cocktail
Jumping on the Christmas cocktail sleigh, The Reveley have put a Christmas twist on their Giant Cocktail range. It’s the perfect combination of summer and joy, mixed with Chambord, Pama, pineapple puree, fresh lemon juice and lemonade, and garnished with pomegranate popping pearls, candy canes and rosemary. Share this $35 fishbowl of sweet goodness with friends.
Christmas Cake Moonshine from Whipper Snapper
If you prefer to make your own cocktails, try Whipper Snapper Distillery’s latest infusion of Christmas Cake Moonshine and get mixing. Inspired by the classic Christmas dessert, this Crazy Uncle Moonshine is enriched with cranberries, apricots, dates, glazed cherries, raisins, almonds, hazelnuts and brazil nuts.
