Clever integration of storage and high-end luxurious finishes are the key ingredients for success in this winning kitchen.
COTTESLOE
The centrally located kitchen in this modern coastal home is in perfect harmony with surrounding zones.
Its veneer, warm whites, mirror, copper and marble-look materials work together to create contrast and visual interest, while offering continuity to the home's neutral colour palette.
Constructed by Western Cabinets and designed by Alysia Pekel, the kitchen's spotted gum timber veneer from World Wide Timber Traders was hand-selected, and matched to run throughout the cabinetry in a seamless fashion.
An abundance of drawers and a concealed, walk-in pantry create ample space for storage, appliances and everyday mess.
The central island bench is clad in an innovative new product called Neolith by CDK Stone, which resembles Statuario marble, but offers a highly durable work surface.
To ensure the space remained aesthetically pleasing and functional, the island bench was designed without the interruption of a sink, so it could be used solely for preparation and serving.
Stunning natural light from the internal courtyard is reflected through the mirrored splashbacks to bring elements of the outdoors in.
