Lisa Tay is the owner of Arrival Hall, a sleek homewares store in East Perth that has recently launched online. We get her expert opinion ABOUT what’s on trend in homewares this spring.

Describe what influenced the interior design of Arrival Hall.
We are very much inspired by Scandinavian design and its focus on simplicity, minimalism and functionality, so we tried to incorporate simple, clean lines and the use of natural materials throughout the shop. Our fit-out provides
a neutral, monochromatic backdrop while our products introduce warm and inviting colour throughout the space.

Why did you launch an online store?
We wanted to make our range available to a wider audience. While our bricks-and-mortar store will always be our focus, and we have plans to expand, in today's environment, we felt it was very important for us to establish a strong online presence as well.

What products can people expect in store?
As we are a homewares and lifestyle store, our collection is quite diverse, from furniture and lighting, kitchen and tableware, accessories and home decor, to bodycare products, stationery and prints, and kids' toys. Alongside iconic designs by well-known brands such as Normann Copenhagen, Menu, and Vitra, we also feature hard-to-find pieces from niche brands such as Marble Basics, Iris Hantverk and many others.

What's on trend this spring?
While concrete and marble are here to stay, brass is coming back in a big way. Also, warm pastels, greys and blues, and natural materials such as timber and cork will be a great addition to any home.
