A laneway basement piano club is launching in Perth CBD’s DEADBEAT, the hidden bar behind Pirate Life.

Built around a baby grand and everyone’s favourite songs, Hot Keys Piano Club, opening Friday, March 20, is set to take audiences through cross-generational anthems on Fridays and Saturdays, all with a live pianist-vocalist.

Instead of DJ sets and not knowing the words, the crowd choses the songs every night – whether that’s ABBA and Fleetwood Mac or Spice Girls, the new nightlife hotspot is primed for singalongs, community, cocktails and craft beer.

Operations Manager Adi Ruiz summed it up – “One minute it’s raw live performance, the next it’s a room of strangers belting out a classic under a spinning disco ball. It’s chaotic, nostalgic, and honestly, something people didn’t realise they were missing.”

Descend to the basement bar for that something, featuring Perth’s best live musicians, nostalgic snacks, and music you can actually sing and dance to, Fridays and Saturdays from Friday, March 20.
