Perth Festival has postponed all shows and performances set to take place this coming weekend, as a result of the lockdown currently in place for the Perth Metro area.
The annual festival, this year featuring artists from all over WA, was due to launch this Friday, February 5, which is currently the final day of the five-day lockdown.
Even though at this stage the lockdown restrictions do not apply over the weekend, festival artists, crew and venues require the time to complete final rehearsals and technical run-throughs, which were due to take place this week but cannot recommence until restrictions lift.
Due to this, the following shows are currently being rescheduled: Projections at City of Lights, Tim Minchin: Apart / Together with WASO, Ballet at the Quarry, Archives of Humanity, Witness Stand, HOUSE, STC Courtyard Sessions, One & Many, Dreams of Place, Galup and I’ll Tell You in Person.
There have been no cancellations as of yet.
All tickets for these shows and performances remain valid, and any current ticket holders will be contacted by the festival when dates for the postponed shows are confirmed. There is no need to call or email the Perth Festival box office, as the team are contacting all of those affected by the postponed shows.
All performances and Visual Arts exhibitions are set to resume after the weekend, with Lotterywest Films screenings planned to recommence on Saturday, February 6.
