Located in historic Fremantle, the WA Shipwrecks Museum will celebrate its 40th anniversary this Friday. To mark the occasion, the Museum will keep its doors open late and everyone is invited to attend an evening of festivities.

See the Museum come to life at night with a range of free entertainment and activities throughout the heritage-listed 1850s Commissariat building. Expect candlelit tours, roving musicians and performers, giveaways for the kids and a series of short and fascinating curatorial talks. Plus, there will be fire-pits and food trucks on the lawn to help you keep cosy.

Since first opening in 1979 as part of Western Australia’s 150th celebrations, the WA Shipwrecks Museum has evolved to become the leading maritime archaeology museum in the Southern Hemisphere.
