There’s a million and one reasons to visit some of Perth’s markets as we approach the end of the year – delicious food trucks, Perth’s artisans showing off their products, and of course, the giving season is right around the corner.

A low-cost hangout and third space is exactly what we’re looking for as the weather turns around to give us those warm summer nights – and if you’re looking to shop ‘til you drop, there’s room for that too.

A few amazing market seasons have launched for summer, and some are just wrapping up for the year, waiting on quarterly returns. We even have an annual market on our list that runs only once a year! Check out our must-visit list of markets to cross off before the year ends below.

1. Subi Night Market

Every Saturday evening, September – April, 5pm – 9pm

With the return of Subi Night Markets this September, there has never been a more accessible Euro summer.

Market Square turns into a hub of activity every Saturday evening, with enough food and retail stalls to keep you busy for hours. When you’re done browsing, there’s more than enough room to catch up with mates for a picnic.

Subi Night Markets bring the charm of European village squares right to your doorstep, and they’re conveniently located next to Subiaco Train Station, making these markets a must for 2025.

2. Summer x Salt Markets

1st and 3rd Saturdays, October – March (with bonuses!), 8am – 1pm

Summer x Salt is an award-winning beachside marketplace at Clarko Reserve, Trigg, featuring a curated lineup of live music, food trucks, artists and designers.

Not only are the markets thriving, but there are free community events running alongside them– kid’s workshops, yoga, pilates, meditation and morning swims.

Summer x Salt prides itself on its community support and sustainable focus. Since 2016, they have launched over 2500 small businesses and creatives, and is Australia’s first plastic-free and zero-waste market.

Why not support the planet and WA small business and pay a visit? Head online to see which bonus dates they’re running before the year is over.

3. Twilight Food Market

Every Friday, October – April, 4:30pm – 9:30pm

The city’s biggest street food market has launched for summer, right in the heart of Perth CBD.

Perth’s diverse food culture is on show with food stalls hailing from around the globe. Dinner is sorted when you can’t be bothered on Friday night after work, and you’ll absolutely get the bang for your buck with affordable prices.

4. Markets in the Square

Saturday, November 1, 8, 15, 22, 11am – 3pm

Yagan Square lights up with the flavours and colours of spring in this new market series.

Not only do makers, bakers and growers come together, but there are a variety of workshops and talks on offer after you’ve taste tested and sampled the best produce.

The first market sees an edible flower workshop hosted by Perth City Farm, and the second a bush tucker workshop with Dale Tilbrook, a proud Wardandi Bibbulmun woman.

The workshop on November 15 sees another workshop by Perth City Farm, where they’ll guide you through entertaining from WA produce we can all grow in our gardens. Plus, there’ll be line dancing in the afternoon.

The final market teaches us about healing herbs, followed by the Upcycle fashion show by The Showgirls Crown, showcasing the best of sustainable style.

5. Perth Maker’s Market

Sunday, November 2 & December 14, 9:30am – 3:30pm

The beautiful Goolugatup Heathcote Reserve in Applecross bustles with live music, delicious food and over 150 stalls for the Perth Maker’s Market.

This market is an exclusively handmade only market – everything being sold has been made right here in WA.

They’ve even got seasonal instalments held at the Supreme Court Gardens – a Halloween Twilight Market (31 Oct) and a Twilight Christmas Market (Nov 29), perfect for trick or treat with the vendors, or getting some Xmas shopping started early.

Meet some of the talented Perth makers and be confident that you’re supporting the community with every visit.

6. Scarborough Sunset Markets

Every Thursday, November 6 – May 28, 5pm – 9pm

Fresh off their Saturday night winter season, the Scarborough Sunset Markets are relaunching for Summer next Thursday.

Arguably Perth’s favourite coastal ritual, these markets are a mainstay, and even better in summer. Right on the beach, the perfect sunsets are somehow improved with food trucks and artisan stalls for miles, and of course, the pop-up beachside bar.

7. Gather & Gourmet

Saturday, November 8, 3:30pm – 8pm

Gather & Gourmet returns for the last time this year to the Supreme Court Gardens with a diverse mix of over 80 stallholders. Premium food and beverage offerings are set amongst homewares in a celebration of the artisanal and local makers.

This is the last instalment for 2025, so check it out before it’s gone!

8. Perth Upmarket

Sunday, November 16, 10am – 4pm

Perth’s original and biggest design market has one date left for this year.

Discover over 200 of Perth’s most talent artists, designers, craftsmen and gourmets surrounded by the gorgeous architecture of the University of Western Australia’s Winthrop Hall, Hackett Hall and surrounds. It’s the perfect time to pick a spot on the lawn to feast on the delicious food.

A list of all retailers is available at the info desk, and first-time stallholders have a dedicated section at Hackett Hall to make showing them some love all too easy.

The market only runs quarterly, so pay the stalls a visit before you’ll have to wait for the next one!

9. Bazaar Maker’s Market

Friday to Sunday, December 5 – 7, 9am – 5pm

Shop local and bespoke for one weekend this December, in perfect time for Christmas.

WA’s longest running makers market (entering its 46th year!) is bursting with local talent, transforming the lawn of Walyalup Fremantle Arts Centre into the ultimate destination for unique, handcrafted gifts for the special ones in your life.

The program for the weekend is jam-packed, with a book launch Friday along with Open Studios at WFAC, a Curator Tour on Saturday, and live music Sunday. The kids will be occupied on the weekend with a children’s toy bus visiting the markets.

This market only runs once a year, so don’t forget your $2 donation for entry!

10. Joondalup Artisan Markets

Sunday, December 7, 9:30am – 3pm

The biggest indoor artisan market in the northern suburbs is back to close out their season, just in time to fit in some holiday season shopping at ECU Joondalup Sport and Fitness Center.

The vibrant community atmosphere is made even brighter by the ‘Mini JAMs’ – stalls ran by youth vendors aged 18 and under. All the staples are here, like woodworkers, potters, jewellers, artists and even wine and gin makers.
