Black Friday is here, with sales already starting all over the internet and through our brick-and-mortar stores – it’s the perfect mix of early Christmas shopping to tick off the list, or some ‘self-care’ to get us through the end-of-year rush. This year, we’ve compiled a list of some awesome sales happening across Perth and online that support local talent, the arts, or both – and one that keeps us local at one of Perth’s iconic shopping hubs.

AGWA Design Store’s Mammoth Black Friday Sales

28 November – 1 December

An absolute jackpot of quirky gifts for that artsy person in your life are on sale from the AGWA design store– think home décor, paint-by-numbers Warhol, jewellery, homewares and more.

With merch dating back to the 2023 Yoshitomo Nara exhibition, there are gifts ranging from one-dollar postcard prints to Simone Wild Velvet Gloves at half price. This one is definitely worth checking it out.

RAG Pop Up Black Friday Sale

28 November, 10am – 6pm

If you’ve not been to a RAG Pop Up event before, now’s the perfect time to do so. This one-day sale event puts 40 local fashion designers, boutiques, accessory businesses and more on display in Perth Town Hall, with sales up to 85% off.

A huge plus side is the whole event features slow, small and sustainable shopping with pre-loved stores and homegrown talent.

Even better, the Rio Tinto Christmas Lights Trail is set to begin the same night for the first of a 31-night installation, so you can hang around afterwards for an awesome light display.

Forrest Chase

This one keeps your shopping local in a week where all you’re hearing about is sales – get your Christmas shopping done in one hit at Forrest Chase, where everything you need is concentrated in the one hub, and the sales are hitting every store.

Plus, in case you hadn’t heard, the Black Friday Research Committee is looking for participants for “fieldwork activities” in Forrest Chase – in other words, a $1K shopping spree. Entries close on 25 November, so you’ve still got a couple days to enter.

Although not as exciting as a free shopping spree, the Black Friday deals at Forrest Chase will have Christmas sorted in no time, and some have already begun. Everyone’s involved, from Mecca to Myer to Archie Brother’s Arcade. You can check out their retail directory online.

Record Store Day Black Friday

November 28

Most vinyl lovers would be familiar with Record Store Day in April and its Black Friday counterpart, where you can support your local independent record store and get your hands on some limited-edition pressings.

Celebrate local and grab something off the exclusive list, featuring artists like Billie Eilish, Chappel Roan, INXS and more – although they may be in high demand. Luckily there’s plenty of regular stock to dig through!

You can check out the list of WA stores that have ordered stock on the Record Store Day Australia website.

Fever

November 21 – December 1

The team behind Perth’s most unique experiences are slashing prices for Black Friday, with up to 25% off tickets for their most anticipated events.

These experiences are the perfect gift if you’re stuck, or maybe you’re just planning school holiday activities to keep the kids off the screens. There’s something for everyone, with the immersive Dinos Alive experience in Northbridge Centre on sale, or The Jury Experience, where you’ll step into a high-stakes trial where theatre meets moral dilemmas.

Plus, this is another opportunity to support Perth artists – experiences like Ballet of Lights: Sleeping Beauty feature local dancers!
