Some of us are definitely over the Christmas season — the music, the decorations, and especially the frantic organisation that goes along with it. If you’re already looking into January and not sure what you’re doing to ring in the new year, we’ve put together a list of some awesome parties, plus some more low-key options to start 2026 with your best foot forward.

Hancock Iron Ore NYE

Elizabeth Quay and surrounds

The classic New Year’s Eve celebration that everyone needs to experience one year or another. From 5pm until the clock ticks over, a loaded entertainment program keeps Elizabeth Quay busy, along with nearby precincts like the Supreme Court Gardens and Barrack Square.

Elizabeth Quay will host LED hula-hoop and circus workshops, plus glitter and face painting with carnival sideshow games running throughout the night.

The Family Fun Zone at Supreme Court Gardens will have free carnival rides for all to enjoy, and food trucks galore. More food options can be found in Barrack Square, along with a circus game show and aerial cabaret show as the night gets darker.

The light show is the highlight of the night, best experienced from Elizabeth Quay and the surrounding areas near Birdiya Drive. For families who might need an earlier night, there’s a special light show at 8:30pm, with the main event following at 12am to see in the new year.

Kaytranada

Surrender NYE featuring Kaytranada

Langley Park

If you’re the type that’s looking for a party, Langley Park will be the place to go – these tickets are on their final release, so you’d better grab them quickly before they go.

Surrender’s inaugural event lands in Perth with an Australian-exclusive performance from Kaytranada, a Grammy-winning producer and DJ specialising in electronic and hip-hop fusion. Joined by his brother and frequent collaborator Lou Phelps, plus a curated supporting line up of 20 acts across three stages (not to mention the fireworks show), this night is set to become a staple for Perth NYE celebrations.

Famous Sharron

New Year’s Eve at Yagan Square

Yagan Square

Soak up the excitement at Yagan Square and be in the centre of Perth’s NYE action.

From 7:30pm, Famous Sharron will MC, keeping the energy high with the help of DJs and roaming performers. There’ll be something for everyone, with lip-sync battles, dress-to-impress challenges and glow stick dance-offs (with prizes to score!).

The countdown on the digital tower in Yagan Square will be a highlight, and you’ll be able to catch fireworks too!

Great Gable
RubyHoo

Rosemount Hotel NYE

Rosemount Hotel

A full-venue festival featuring loads of local favourites.

The Main Room features heavy hitters Great Gable & RubyHoo, Four5nine keeps things going with Adelaide punk rockers TOWNS, and the Backyard hosts a lineup of DJs to dance the night into 2026.

Snack NYE

Snack NYE

Claremont Showground

Another massive party, packed with six stages, midnight fireworks, 40+ artists and more.

WA-exclusive performances from Peking Duk and Pendulum (DJ set) won’t be the only reasons you’ll want to grab these final-release tickets. This year’s Snack introduces Sin City– think showgirls, the Wheel of Misfortune, tattoo parlour and wedding chapel. The fan favourite foam party is back, plus the usual staples like a silent disco, food trucks, and more.

Bather’s Beach House NYE Party

Bather’s Beach House

Make the most of what’s looking like a hot summer’s day with the ultimate seaside celebration.

Upstairs is a ticketed event, with cocktail on arrival, roaming canapés and five-hour drinks package featuring everything you need to work up to the countdown. DJs, a photo booth and a UV/glitter bar keep the vibes high upstairs, which stays open until 1am.

Downstairs is where the free celebrations kick off, with live music, and a Chandon garden spritz pop-up bar.

If this sounds up your alley, we’ve got heaps of other events like it on our events guide. Think delicious restaurant locations extending their hours, specialty menus, and even the experience of the height of luxury at Crown Perth’s Crystal Club.
