Regional travel destinations such as Albany, Esperance, Carnarvon and Monkey Mia will be more accessible than ever before, with the Premier today announcing that more affordable flights to these destinations will be offered. And, with international travel still off the cards for the foreseeable future, there has never been a better time to explore our backyard!
The result of an agreement with REX airlines, these changes will take place from August 31, on top of the extra services announced in June. For a one-way ticket, you’re looking at $139 for Albany, $138 for Esperance, $158 for Monkey Mia, and $199 for Carnarvon.
Albany will now have 14 services a week, Esperance will have 13, Carnarvon will have eight and Monkey Mia will now have four flights. The WA government is hoping these affordable flights will bring thousands of visitors to our regions, in turn supporting our local communities and businesses.
So, what are you waiting for? Book a holiday in one of WA’s pristine locations now.
