The deliberate separation of three eco-tents across 132 acres of ex-farmland means that you really feel like you are off the grid. You have no other choice but to slow down with your significant other and appreciate the authentic Australian bush surrounding you.
For a romantic weekend-escape down south there must be three things present; your partner, bathrobes and a secluded sanctuary for private moments. If you have a partner (or bedtime-buddy), Two Blind Cows in Margaret River will take care of the rest. The deliberate separation of three eco-tents across 132 acres of ex-farmland means that you really feel like you are off the grid. You have no other choice but to slow down with your significant other and appreciate the authentic Australian bush surrounding you. The affectionate name, Two Blind Cows, was chosen by owners Pete and Bronnie after inheriting two cows (yes, also blind) when they purchased the property. Although the cows are no longer around, local sculptor Nigel Lullfitkz created a piece of art - Daisy the Iron Cow - to stand in the field and watch guests arrive each day. Each tent is designed to house two adults, comfortably and cosily, and is fitted-out with a kitchenette, shower with rainfall shower head, mini Weber BBQ as well as comfy Sheridan bathrobes and bed sheets to match. Equipped with extra blankets for cuddling on the porch and a cheese platter on arrival, the only thing you will need to bring is protection – in case it rains. This glamping getaway is not only perfect for loved-up twosomes, it is also eco-friendly, with locally-sourced products ranging from hand-made body soaps, organic insect repellent, recycling bins and rainwater tanks. In short, if your partner loves the environment, this weekend away is sure to impress (plastic straws and harmful chemicals not included!). Neighbouring wineries become picturesque picnics spots and can be found just five minutes down the road. Bring back a bottle (or casket) to sip at sunset while nibbling on your cheese platter. Be sure to unzip your tent so that you find yourself surrounded by the true Australian outback, complete with lush, green vineyards and laughing kookaburras. Even the rain can't dampen the mood – rather adding fuel to the fire, with its gentle pitter-patter on the tent canopy. Whether you are looking for a romantic weekend, week-long getaway or well-deserved city break, Two Blind Cows combines luxury, eco-accommodation and slow-living with the Australian bush; a match that you never knew you needed in your life.
