Updated: 14 Oct 2021

The Lester Prize is one of Australia’s three leading art awards for portraiture and the only one based in Western Australia. Out of 750 applicants, only 40 finalists are selected and put on display at the Art Gallery of WA from October 16 to November 29.
As part of this year’s exhibition, Oh Hey WA is hosting a series of walking tours. The Portrait Pathway Art Walking Tours start and finish at the Art Gallery of WA, giving you the chance to explore the main exhibition either before or after the tour.
Your tour guide will take you past several locations where the finalists from 2020 are on display, providing interesting insights along the way, and then on to Brookfield place where the Lester Prize 2021 Youth Awards Exhibition is being held.
The tours take 75 minutes, cost $10 and are only running on five days: October 20 and November 3, 6, 17 and 29. Tickets can be booked HERE.
Please note that as the Art Gallery of Western Australia is currently under refurbishment the main entrance is closed and you will have to enter the exhibition through the Beaufort Street entry.
If you are interested in seeing the Lester Prize 2021 Youth Awards, the exhibition will be open from October 18 to November 26.
