The Windmill Comedy Club brings another round of laughs to Fringe World

Delivering a space for expert and novice comedians since 2020, The Windmill Comedy Club will keep the laughs in full swing at Fringe World 2026, with six standout comedy acts taking the stage at the Old Mill Education Centre from Thursday, January 22, to Sunday, February 15.

Located beneath the sails of South Perth’s Old Mill, The Windmill Comedy Club offers a unique Fringe World 2026 venue, blending charming heritage architecture with intimate indoor spaces and leafy outdoor surrounds.

On its opening Fringe weekend, People Pleasers: Zac Gomes and Molly Kerrhosted by Aaron Smyth, will run on Thursday, January 22, and Friday, January 23, with another show lined up for Friday, February 13.

Em Krause will then bring her show Spanx in the City to the stage, with a single show on Friday, January 23.

Ant Meczes‘ Complain-ant will see a return of the local comedian’s signature dry humour, with four shows running on Friday, January 23Saturday, January 24Friday, January 30; and Saturday, January 31.

Brenda McAuliffe‘s A Pet Photographer’s Guide to Dating will run across two dates on Saturday, January 31, and Saturday, February 7.

Mark Canny‘s Bad Dad will also run across two dates on Friday, February 6, and Saturday, February 14.

Mark Canny will also bring his show, A Brief History of Humpingto the stage on Sunday, February 8, and Sunday, February 15.

The Windmill Comedy Club will also host three free shows, with 3 Minutes of Fame hosted by Lachy Skinner and Roz Evan on Friday, January 30An Hour of Fun hosted by Lachy Skinner on Friday, February 6 and Friday, February 13; and Hi Viz Comedy hosted by Alex FleayLachy Skinner and Martin Darcey on Saturday, February 14.

The Windmill Comedy Club is a BYO venue, with the surrounding grounds offering a ideal picnic spot before shows begin. One of Perth’s most iconic landmarks, the Old Mill dates back to 1835 and was restored after being granted to the City of South Perth in 1992, becoming part of the National Trust.

More than just a Fringe pop-up venue, The Windmill Comedy Club is a popular destination for comedy lovers throughout the year. Upcoming free summer performances include 3 Minutes of Fame, An Hour of Fun and Hi Viz Comedy, before regular programming returns on Friday, February 20, with shows held each Friday and some Saturdays.
