Look no further than the Perth Hills for wineries where dogs are more than welcome. La Fattoria, Fairbrossen Winery, Hainault Vineyard and more are lovers of their own dogs and will welcome yours with open arms as you sip on a glass of their fine vino. Scenic views, great wine and your pup – what more could you want?

Fairbrossen Winery


An old English word meaning ‘the full and satisfied feeling after a hearty meal’, Fairbrossen is a vineyard situated on gravel soil in the Eastern suburb of Carmel. Producing a mix of sumptuous whites and reds with organic practices only – Fairbrossen Winery will become your new go-to for a day out where your pet is just as welcome as you are. Fairbrossen have ample grounds for both dogs and the little ones to play, and offer free wine tastings with the option to add a cheeseboard. Feeling adventurous? Try their traditional Georgian-style Saperavi wine, made with ancient Georgian practises for a taste like no other. Open from Friday to Sunday, 11am to 4pm.

Twin Hills


Twin Hills was established in the Swan Valley in 1937, and the family business is now run by Dorothy and her two sons. Producing a range of bottled wines from classic whites to Verdelhos, as well as their in-house selections of cheeses and marinated olives. Their fortified wines are a stand-out, and even come by the litre to bring home and share as the weather cools down. Come by for a tasing of wine, cheese and olives, and bring your pup along too. Open 10am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

Windy Creek


Windy Creek, formerly known as Cobanov Wines, is a family-owned estate located in the Swan Valley open for over 80 years. Stop by the cellar door to try all the varietals Windy Creek produces, including crispy dry whites and earthy reds (the ruby-red Caprice variety is a must-try) – Windy Creek produces wines that clear out wine show awards annually. Even better, owners Ruth and Tony are welcoming to you four-legged friends. Keep in mind for hot days that your furry friend is welcome outside only. Open 11am to 5pm, Tuesday to Sunday.

Ugly Duckling


If you’re after a weekend with a buzzing atmosphere in the Valley, Ugly Duckling is the place to be. With live music on the weekends, Ugly Duckling is a popular spot for groups and tours. If you’re sitting in the outdoor dining area, bring your dog along with you while you enjoy curated cheese boards and wine pairings. Try their stand out wines, including their Chenin Blanc and exclusive, delicious Sparkling Chardonnay. Open 11am to 4pm weekdays, and 11am to 5pm weekends.
