Jackie Madeley, co–organiser and Spirals Cinnamon owner, said that the fundraiser is possible thanks to the generous support of the bakery’s suppliers and long–term customers:
“Our local producers and suppliers got on board and said they would be more than happy to provide everything – from flour, eggs, and baking ingredients through to coffee.”
All the funds, apart from minor operational fees, will go straight towards the Red Cross Bushfire Appeal, who are currently operating in affected bushfire communities in NSW, South Australia and WA. The Red Cross have been working hard to provide evacuation support and relief centres, psychological first aid, food, water and relief items, as well as delivering emergency grants to those who have lost their homes.

With weekends usually being the busiest trading days, the team at Spirals have made pre -orders for pick up on the day available through the webpage. The aim is to sell over 500 buns on the day, and with the supportive spirit and fervour for cinnabuns that exists within the bun-loving community, they feel confident their goal is achievable.
