Doris Bush Nungarrayi
Artitja Fine Art Gallery
In line with their mission of “Making Cultural Connections through Art,” Artitja works with remote and regional art centre communities to bring an insightful array of Aboriginal artworks to Perth. While regular operations have been restricted, they have adapted by making certain collections available for viewing through an online gallery catalogue. A beautiful example is ‘IN OCHRE’ Kimberley online, featuring ochre paintings from three of WA’s Kimberley Art Centres: Warmun Art Centre, Waringarri Aboriginal Art Centre (Kununurra) and Kira Kiro Art Centre (Kalumburu). Through immersing yourself in this special collection, you have the opportunity to explore aspects of WA’s Kimberley communities in a relaxed and personalised way. The gallery is now live and can be accessed here. Langaliki Lewis - Storm Cloud Story
