Perth Comedy Festival

The Perth International Comedy Festival is back to build on three years of roaring success. We've checked out what's on offer this year, and, let us tell you, talent is not lacking. From old favourites to fresh meat, this year's Fest will bring the LOLs in abundance.

1. Jim Jefferies

This Aussie native is no newbie to festivals: from Edinburgh to Glastonbury, Cape Town to Montreal, Jim's slayed 'em all, earning himself his own comedy series, Legit. Don't miss one of our best comic exports. Crown Theatre, Apr 3-4.

Noel Fielding

2. Noel Fielding

Those familiar with The Mighty Boosh might be freaking out a bit right now. Noel Fielding, the quirky and trippy Brit, will take the Convention Centre this April, with special guest Mike Fielding, who plays hookah-enthusiast Naboo on Boosh. Perth Convention Centre, Apr 24-25.

3. Joel Creasey

Praised by legend Joan Rivers as a "f*cking star", and dubbed "a revelation" by The Age, Perth-born Joel Creasey is returning to the motherland to share his tales with us. Big laughs, big hair and a signature cheeky grin guaranteed. Regal Theatre, Apr 24.

4. Pablo Francisco

One minute he's Arnold Schwarzenegger, the next Jackie Chan. The fast-paced, eclectic show Here We Go Again (Back in the Outback) marks Pablo's return to Australia and will no doubt produce some relatable – and sidesplitting – insights. Regal Theatre, Apr 24.

Stephen K Amos.

5. Stephen K Amos

He's no stranger to Aussie crowds, having been a panelist on our beloved Spicks and Specks, as well as being a veteran Melbourne Comedy Festival performer in the Great Debate for four years running. The smooth-voiced Brit will have you cackling away and nodding your head in agreement with his country-specific jokes.
His Majesty's Theatre, Apr 30-May 2.
