This April, the City of Perth presents the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival, featuring more than 100 events and activities from secret gardens to family recipes, cultural storytelling to ghost stories.
Families and history lovers will enjoy the celebrations, exploring Perth’s unique mix of cultural and historical stories, sites and communities.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Bruce Reynolds spoke on some of the program highlights – “This year we proudly celebrate significant milestones, including 180 years of Mercedes College and the remarkable 190-year history of the Old Court House Law Museum, adding even more depth to the program.”
“Music lovers can also explore Boorloo’s vibrant cultural history at the City of Perth Library, which will host a series of talks celebrating the social history of the music the shaped the City – from pub rock to punk.”
The City’s beloved parks and gardens are set to be celebrated at Moments In The Park, a series of events and activations across Harold Boas Gardens, Stirling Gardens, Russell Square, Moort-ak Waadiny (Wellington Square), Queens Gardens and Victoria Gardens. These events include live music, theatre, workshops and storytelling.
Plus, nearly all the events are free, making this festival a prime opportunity to visit some of Perth’s oldest and richest heritage institutions.
There are more than 100 events on offer throughout the Lotterywest Boorloo Heritage Festival, running from Wednesday, April 1, to Thursday, April 30. Head online to view the full program.
