The winners and medallists of the prestigious Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards were announced on Saturday night at a Crown Perth gala dinner.

The industry’s premier awards night showcased the innovation and commitment to business excellence of the state’s leading tourism operators across 26 categories.

“The Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards stand as the highest honour in Western Australia’s tourism industry, celebrating business excellence, innovation and exceptional customer service among tourism operators,” Tourism Council WA CEO Evan Hall said.

The entrants were all celebrated for showing remarkable dedication to making WA a vibrant and inclusive destination for visitors; however, only one could claim the night’s most prestigious award.

Of all the gold medal-winning businesses, Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm was awarded the Sir David Brand Award For Tourism, recognised for its continuous commitment to business improvement, delivering unique, immersive experiences, and fostering authentic Indigenous involvement.

Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm was awarded the tourism industry’s ultimate prize – the Sir David Brand Award for Tourism.

Judges noted the guest experience at Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm left visitors with a renewed sense of wonder and a meaningful connection to the Kimberley’s people, history, and wild natural beauty.

The night also saw several businesses inducted into the Hall of Fame – an exclusive status achieved by winning gold in a category for three consecutive years. WA Museum Boola Bardip, Singlefile Wines, Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm and Pullman Bunker Bay Resort received this honour.

As for individual awards, the most prestigious award in WA Tourism, the Sir David Brand Medal for Tourism, was awarded to Robert Banfield in recognition of his significant contribution to the industry as an investor, innovator and leader of Willie Creek Pearls.

The team from Willie Creek Pearls, including Chairman Robert Banfield, who was awarded the industry’s highest individual honour – the Sir David Brand Medal for Tourism.

“Congratulations to all this year’s winners and medallists. You showcase the best of Western Australia and help grow our state’s incredible tourism industry,” said Principal Sponsor Perth Airport’s CEO Jason Waters.

The gold medallists in categories 1 to 26 will go on to represent Western Australia at the Australian Tourism Awards, held in Fremantle on March 6, 2026. The Western Australian Tourism Awards are presented by the Tourism Council Western Australia.
